I cannot give you a better description than on the Wikipedia page.

The fans at ANN seem to think the series (all of them) are worth about a 6.8.

I have only seen the "LaVerite" series and I think it's pretty good. Except for the kind of
disjointed ending I think the show is worth a solid 7.
It is very re-watchable, it looks nice and most of it isn't too trite or cliche'.
