This starts out kind of like a weird mix of the modern mermaid movie "Splash"
and old 1960's Beach movies with Frankie and Annett.
Then they make fun of just about everything, even the Terminator . . .
 . . . if you like semi-irreverent, goofy-for-it's-sake anime you'll like this.

I've only gotten to see a few episodes scattered throughout the series
but it's always been hella-funny.
I can give this one about a 8.5 . . . so far . . .

The fans at ANN seem to think it's worth a solid 8.2
 . . . . it'd be nice if this one makes it over here . . .
Looks like Funimation is gonna do this one . . .
